Dixon Family Scholarship

 

The Dixon Family Scholarship created by Kim and Sammie Dixon in memory of Dr. Sammie and Latrelle Dixon, Sr., is earmarked for students who are the first to enter college in their family and a member of the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Bend. Each fall, two students/Boys & Girls Club members meeting this criteria are awarded with full tuition for both the Fall and Spring semesters at Tallahassee Community College. Funds are also provided to help defray the cost of books.

 

It is an honor to partner with The Dixon Family and the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Bend on this very special project. Kim and Sammie Dixon are longtime supports of both the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Bend and Tallahassee Community College.

 

Through their generosity, this partnership ensures that financial barriers can be diminished, providing access and opportunity to students to attend college. In its third year of existence, seven Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend alumni members have benefitted from the Dixon Family Scholarship including the four individuals that are currently enrolled.
